Description

The idea behind Mahlzeit is fairly simple. If you want to keep track of your recipes, there are okayish solutions (e.g. Tandoor) for that. But although they support a lot of features, they looked way too complicated for us (me and Lou).

We wanted a solution that’s easy to understand, even if you are not a software developer. A good user experience for desktop and mobile users alike. Without ads, complex features, etc. Mahlzeit should feel natural.

And on top of that, it should be possible to work on recipes together. Not in the sense of large popular pages like Chefkoch, way simpler than that. We want to build a software that’s for us. Our family, our friends and that’s it. Aiming for scaling down, instead of scaling up.

And that’s how Mahlzeit was born.
